ITINERARY:

DAY 1: THURSDAY 14TH JUNE – UK/JOHANNESBURG

Arrive at your chosen airport three hours prior to departure where you will check in for your international flight.
 

DAY 2: FRIDAY 15TH JUNE – JOHANNESBURG

Upon arrival into Johannesburg you will be met by a LWTL tour manager and transferred to Bloemfontein, to your chosen hotel for a 2 night stay on a B&B basis. This evening, enjoy welcome drinks with your tour host and fellow tourists.
 

DAY 3: SATURDAY 16TH JUNE – 2ND TEST MATCH, BLOEMFONTEIN

MATCH DAY!
SOUTH AFRICA v ENGLAND
After a leisurely morning you will be transferred to the selected venue for a pre-match lunch and Q&A Session. After lunch you will be transferred to the Toyota Stadium. Post match you will be transferred back to your hotel.
 

DAY 4: SUNDAY 17TH JUNE – BLOEMFONTEIN TO KNYSNA

After breakfast, please check out of your hotel and meet in the hotel foyer 10 mins prior to your transfer to Bloemfontein Airport for your flight to George. Upon arrival in George you will be transferred to the Knysna Log Inn for a 2 night stay on a B&B basis (1.5hr scenic drive).
 

DAY 5: MONDAY 18TH JUNE – KNYSNA

Enjoy a day at leisure in Knysna. Join LWTL for the Knysna Lagoon Cruise aboard the “Oyster Boat”.
 

DAY 6: TUESDAY 19TH JUNE – KNYSNA TO GARDEN ROUTE

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to the Garden Route Game Lodge (3hr drive). Upon arrival check into the Garden Route Game Lodge for a 1 night stay on a DBB basis. This evening join your tour group for a Big 5 sunset game drive. Following the game drive return to your hotel for dinner.
 

DAY 7: WEDNESDAY 20TH JUNE – GARDEN ROUTE TO CAPE TOWN

Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Check out of your hotel and transfer to Cape Town (5hr drive) to the City Lodge Hotel, V&A Waterfront for a 5 night stay on a B&B basis.
 

DAY 8: THURSDAY 21ST JUNE – CAPE TOWN

Day at leisure in Cape Town. Visit Robben Island, go up Table Mountain or join us for the Cape Winelands Tour (not included).
 

DAY 9: FRIDAY 22ND JUNE – CAPE TOWN

After breakfast depart for a full day Cape Peninsula Tour (included).
 

DAY 10: SATURDAY 23RD JUNE – 2ND TEST MATCH, CAPE TOWN

MATCH DAY!
SOUTH AFRICA v ENGLAND
After a leisurely morning you will be transferred to the selected venue for a pre-match lunch and Q&A Session. After lunch you will be transferred to Newlands Rugby Stadium. Post match you will be transferred back to your hotel.
 

DAY 11: SUNDAY 24TH JUNE – CAPE TOWN

Day at leisure
 

DAY 12: MONDAY 25TH June – CAPE TOWN/UK

After checking out of your hotel you will be transferred to Cape Town Airport for your return flight to the UK.
 

DAY 13: MONDAY 26TH JUNE – UK

Arrive back in the UK. Complete passport control, collect your luggage and continue with your onward travel.

BLOEMFONTEIN

CITY LODGE HOTEL, BLOEMFONTEIN (2 nights from 15th June 2018)

GARDEN ROUTE GAME LODGE (1 nights from 19th June 2018)

Garden Route Game Lodge is located near Albertinia, overlooking the Langeberg Mountain Range. It is surrounded by lush vegetation and various animals can often be seen. It features a pool and a restaurant. Each room and chalet at Garden Route Game Lodge offers either views of the mountains or the valley. They are elegantly decorated with thatched roofs and wooden furniture. All of them have TVs with digital channels and a safe. Guests have free half board treatment at the Lodge. The restaurant serves typical African dishes and offers panoramic views of the area. The bar is a perfect spot to enjoy some drinks. Guests can experience game viewing tours organized by the Lodge. The sun loungers by the pool allow guests to have a relaxing sun bath. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in public areas.

CAPE TOWN

CITY LODGE V&A WATERFRONT (5 nights from 20th June 2018)

City Lodge Hotel Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is located right at the entrance to the V&A Waterfront – allowing guests to not only easily enjoy this great Cape Town attraction, but also take advantage of V&A Waterfront’s ideal location near local highlights. A nautical theme runs through the hotel and a spa-pool and sundowner bar are available for guests to relax in the warm Cape weather.

THE COMMODORE HOTEL V&A WATERFRONT (UPGRADE HOTEL – 5 nights from 20th June 2018)

With panoramic views of Table Bay and Table Mountain, The Commodore is decorated in a nautical theme. It features an outdoor swimming pool and sauna, fitness and massage facilities. The Commodore’s air-conditioned rooms include free Wi-Fi, satellite TV and a private bathroom with bathtub. There is 24-hour room service and a 24-hour reception. Many many thanks for a fantastic holiday. Everything was so well organised I really cannot speak highly enough of the quality of the tour and the hard work put in by both the Living with the Lions guys and all the volunteers. Mike, Andy, Fleur and Lucy on our tour were simply brilliant. Looking after so many people all doing their own things was not an easy task although you guys made it seem effortless – the hard work behind the scenes made everything go like clockwork. The final Saturday was a day to remember. The general talk was – “well how good was that”. Not just the result but the whole day, simply brilliant. Rob and Bentos were both fantastic as well working so hard to talk with everyone to make everyone’s holiday something special. Once again a big thank you to all and hope to see you all again in four years!!
