TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 – FRIDAY 02nd JUNE 2017 – AUCKLAND/TAKAPUNA

The tour begins in Auckland from where a group transfer is arranged to Takapuna to the 4* The Spencer on Byron Hotel for a 2 night stay on a B&B basis. This evening enjoy welcome drinks with your tour host and fellow tourists.

DAY 2: SATURDAY 03rd JUNE 2017 – TAKAPUNA

MATCH DAY! 1st Provincial Match PROVINCIAL UNION XV v THE BRITISH & IRISH LIONSEnjoy a leisurely breakfast after your long flight and spend the morning exploring your surroundings. This afternoon transfer to the Toll Stadium for the 1st Provincial match of the tour. Return transfer to your hotel.

DAY 3 – SUNDAY 04th JUNE 2017 – TAKAPUNA/BAY OF ISLANDS

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast in the morning before transferring in the afternoon to the 4* Copthorne Hotel, Bay of Islands for a 3 night stay on a B&B basis.

DAY 13: WEDNESDAY 14th JUNE 2017 – DUNEDIN/NAPIER

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast in the morning before transferring to Dunedin Airport for your flight to Napier via Christchurch or Wellington (TBA). Upon arrival you will be transferred to the 4* Art Deco Masonic Hotel for a 3 night stay on a B&B basis.

MATCH DAY! 5th Provincial Match MAORI ALL BLACKS v THE BRITISH & IRISH LIONSAfter breakfast you will be transferred to the 4* Princes Gate Boutique Hotel Rotorua for a 2 night stay on a B&B basis. This afternoon transfer to the Rotorua International Stadium for the 5th Provincial match. Return transfer to your hotel.

Day 17: SUNDAY 18th JUNE 2017 – ROTORUA

Day at leisure to explore Rotorua. Why not visit one of the Geothermal sites with numerous geysers, mud pools and hot pools. Perhaps take the gondola up to Rotorua’s own Luge or experience Zorbing. The Redwood Forest can be recommended for a walk or maybe indulge in a thermal spa under the stars.

Day 18: MONDAY 19th JUNE 2017 – ROTORUA / HAMILTON

After breakfast, transfer to Hamilton where you will be staying at the 4* Novotel Hotel for 3 nights on a B&B basis. Evening at leisure.

Day 19: TUESDAY 20th JUNE 2017 – HAMILTON

MATCH DAY! 6th Provincial Match CHIEFS v THE BRITISH & IRISH LIONS Relax in the morning before transferring in the afternoon to FMG Stadium Waikato for the 6th Provincial match. Return transfer back to your hotel.

Day 20: WEDNESDAY 21st JUNE 2017 – HAMILTON

After a relaxed breakfast, day at leisure. Excursion options will be available taking in the local sights

Day 21: THURSDAY 22nd JUNE 2017 – HAMILTON/AUCKLAND

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and late morning transfer to Auckland. If meeting up with your 2 or 3 Test Tour, you will be transferred to your tour hotel where accommodation has been arranged for 4 nights on a BB basis (please note that rooms may not be available until after 2pm). If meeting a flight, you will be dropped at the airport unless a separate private transfer has been arranged (at extra cost). Tekau Provincial Tour arrangements terminate.

Just a Big Thank You to all Living with the Lions Staff in organising the Tour to Australia. Had an Amazing Time – The Organisation and Attention to Detail was first class. Many many thanks for a fantastic holiday. Everything was so well organised I really cannot speak highly enough of the quality of the tour and the hard work put in by both the Living with the Lions guys and all the volunteers. Mike, Andy, Fleur and Lucy on our tour were simply brilliant. Looking after so many people all doing their own things was not an easy task although you guys made it seem effortless – the hard work behind the scenes made everything go like clockwork. The final Saturday was a day to remember. The general talk was – “well how good was that”. Not just the result but the whole day, simply brilliant. Rob and Bentos were both fantastic as well working so hard to talk with everyone to make everyone’s holiday something special. Once again a big thank you to all and hope to see you all again in four years!!
