TOUR ITINERARY

SYDNEY TEST TOUR (28th December 2017 – 10th January 2018)

10 Nights’ Sydney
 

DAY 1: THURSDAY 28th DECEMBER 2017 – LONDON/SYDNEY

Ensure you get to London Heathrow Airport three hours prior to departure where you will meet a member of staff from Living With The Lions who will assist you with check in for your international flight.
 

DAY 2: FRIDAY 29th DECEMBER 2017 – IN FLIGHT

In transit to Australia.
 

DAY 3: SATURDAY 30th DECEMBER 2017 – SYDNEY

Upon arrival into Sydney you will be met by a LWTL tour manager and transferred into the city to your chosen hotel for a 10 night stay on a room only basis. This evening enjoy welcome drinks with your tour hosts and fellow tourists.
 

DAY 4: SUNDAY 31st DECEMBER 2017 – SYDNEY

Join LWTL and celebrate New Year’s Eve or alternatively make your own arrangements to see in the new year.
 

DAY 5 – 7: MONDAY 01st – WEDNESDAY 03rd JANUARY 2018 – SYDNEY

The next three days are at leisure in Sydney.
 

DAYS 8 – 12: THURSDAY 04th – 08th MONDAY JANUARY 2018 – 5th TEST MATCH, SYDNEY

5th Test Match – Australia v England
Make your own way to The Sydney Cricket Ground for the 5th Test Match. At close of play make your own way back to your chosen hotel.
 

DAY 13: TUESDAY 09th JANUARY 2018: SYDNEY/LONDON

After checking out of your hotel you will be transferred to Sydney Airport for your return flight to the UK.

DAY 14: WEDNESDAY 10th JANUARY 2018: LONDON

Arrive back in the UK. Complete passport control, collect your luggage and continue with your onward travel.

VIBE HOTEL SYDNEY (10 nights’ from 30th December)

Vibe Hotel is located in Sydney CBD (Central Business District), just 5 minutes’ walk from popular shopping and dining options on Oxford Street. It features a swimming pool, sauna and fitness centre. Guests receive 100MBs of free WiFi per 24 hours. All rooms at Hotel Vibe are air conditioned, and come with satellite TV. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. Close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House, The Grace Hotel offers luxury rooms, and a rooftop fitness centre with an indoor swimming pool and a sauna. The Grace is set in a historic building that has been lovingly restored in Sydney CBD (Central Business District). All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and pay-per-view movies. Each air-conditioned room features a small refrigerator, a work desk and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms include an en suite bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and guest toiletries. The Sailmaker restaurant offers all day à la carte dining, while the Lobby Lounge Bar serves a selection of coffee, tea, beverages and light snacks. End your evening with a cocktail from the extensive menu. Centrally located, Hyatt Regency Sydney is on the Darling Harbour waterfront and less than 15 minutes’ walk from the International Convention Centre and Barangaroo. It is less than 10 minutes’ walk to Cockle Bay, Town Hall Railway Station and Chinatown. The Sydney Opera House, The Rocks and the Royal Botanic Gardens are all within 25 minutes’ walk.

Another memorable tour and we even manage to win a T20 game. Everything was fine and would like to thank Patrick for his attentiveness and help during the tour.

Just a note to say what a superb tour Brett Lingley hosted for Living With The Lions in Durban and Cape Town. An absolute pleasure and, by chance, two great Test matches which will rank among the all-time classics. Durban’s Hilton Hotel was fabulous, Cape Town’s City Lodge served its purpose… transport and internal flights excellent thanks to LWTL! Evening meals in Durban (Moyo in Ushaka, Butcher Boys in Florida Road) and Cape Town (Quay Four on the Waterfront) were excellent, showing great local knowledge. So too the Christmas lunch in Ballito and New Year do at the Five Flies in Cape Town were brilliant too. Please pass on my compliments and make sure everyone at Living With The Lions gives themselves a pat on the back. I’ll be back for the Ashes.”
