MELBOURNE & SYDNEY TEST TOUR (22nd December 2017 – 10th January 2018)

7 Nights’ Melbourne 9 Nights’ Sydney
 

DAY 1: FRIDAY 22nd DECEMBER 2017 – LONDON/MELBOURNE

Ensure you get to London Heathrow Airport three hours prior to departure where you will meet a member of staff from Living With The Lions who will assist you with check in for your international flight.
 

DAY 2: SATURDAY 23rd DECEMBER 2017 – IN FLIGHT

In transit to Australia.
 

DAY 3: SUNDAY 24th DECEMBER 2017 – MELBOURNE

Upon arrival into Melbourne you will be met by a LWTL tour manager and transferred into the city to your chosen hotel for a 7 night stay on a room only basis. This evening enjoy welcome drinks with your tour hosts and fellow tourists.
 

DAY 4: MONDAY 25th DECEMBER 2017 – MELBOURNE

Today celebrate Christmas Day with LWTL’s Christmas Party.
 

DAY 5 – 9: TUESDAY 26th – SATURDAY 30th DECEMBER 2017 – 4th TEST MATCH, MELBOURNE

4th Test Match – Australia v England
Make your own way to The Melbourne Cricket Ground for the 4th Test Match. At close of play make your own way back to your chosen hotel.
 

DAY 10: SUNDAY 31st DECEMBER 2017 – MELBOURNE/SYDNEY

An early start today. Check out of your hotel and transfer to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Sydney. Upon arrival into Sydney you will be transferred to your chosen hotel for a 9 night stay on a room only basis.
Join LWTL and celebrate New Year’s Eve or alternatively make your own arrangements to see in the new year.
 

DAY 11 – 13: MONDAY 01st – WEDNESDAY 03rd JANUARY 2018 – SYDNEY

The next three days are at leisure in Sydney.
 

DAY 14 – 18: THURSDAY 04th – MONDAY 08th JANUARY 2018 – 5th TEST MATCH, SYDNEY

5th Test Match – Australia v England
Make your own way to The Sydney Cricket Ground for the 5th Test Match. At close of play make your own way back to your chosen hotel.
 

DAY 19: TUESDAY 09th JANUARY 2018: SYDNEY/LONDON

After checking out of your hotel you will be transferred to Sydney Airport for your return flight to the UK.

DAY 20: WEDNESDAY 10th JANUARY 2018: LONDON

Arrive back in the UK. Complete passport control, collect your luggage and continue with your onward travel.

IBIS STYLES MELBOURNE (7 nights’ from 24th December)

Located in Melbourne CBD, the historic Ibis Styles Melbourne, The Victoria Hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Bourke Street shopping mall and Federation Square. It features a restaurant, a swimming pool, a sauna and a rooftop fitness centre. Rooms at The Victoria Hotel offer classical-style furnishings. Rydges Melbourne is 2 minutes’ walk from Chinatown. It is 10-minute walk from iconic Melbourne shopping precinct, Bourke Street Mall. Melbourne Cricket Ground is 5 minutes’ drive or 20 minutes’ walk away. The air-conditioned rooms offer a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. The private bathroom includes a shower. Another memorable tour and we even manage to win a T20 game. Everything was fine and would like to thank Patrick for his attentiveness and help during the tour.

Just a note to say what a superb tour Brett Lingley hosted for Living With The Lions in Durban and Cape Town. An absolute pleasure and, by chance, two great Test matches which will rank among the all-time classics. Durban’s Hilton Hotel was fabulous, Cape Town’s City Lodge served its purpose… transport and internal flights excellent thanks to LWTL! Evening meals in Durban (Moyo in Ushaka, Butcher Boys in Florida Road) and Cape Town (Quay Four on the Waterfront) were excellent, showing great local knowledge. So too the Christmas lunch in Ballito and New Year do at the Five Flies in Cape Town were brilliant too. Please pass on my compliments and make sure everyone at Living With The Lions gives themselves a pat on the back. I’ll be back for the Ashes.”
