TOUR ITINERARY

AUCKLAND & CHRISTCHURCH TEST TOUR (18th MARCH – 05th APRIL 2018)

7 Nights Auckland 2 Nights Wellington 6 Nights Christchurch
 

DAY 1: SUNDAY 18th MARCH 2018 – LONDON/AUCKAND

Ensure you get to London Heathrow Airport three hours prior to departure and check in for your international flight.
 

DAY 2: MONDAY 19th MARCH 2018 – IN FLIGHT

In transit to New Zealand.
 

DAY 3: TUESDAY 20th MARCH 2018 – AUCKLAND

Upon arrival into Auckland you will be transferred into the city to Quest Ponsonby Apartments for a 7 night stay on a room only basis. This evening enjoy welcome drinks with your tour host and fellow tourists.
 

DAY 4: WEDNESDAY 21st MARCH 2018 – AUCKLAND

Day at leisure to explore Auckland
 

DAY 5 – 9: THURSDAY 22nd – MONDAY 26th MARCH 2018 – 1ST TEST MATCH, AUCKLAND

1ST TEST MATCH – NEW ZEALAND V ENGLAND
Make your own way to Eden Park for the 1st Test Match. At close of play make your own way back to your chosen accommodation.
 

DAY 10: TUESDAY 27th MARCH 2018 – AUCKLAND to WELLINGTON

This morning, check out of your hotel and transfer to Auckland Airport for your flight to Wellington. Upon arrival into you will be transferred to the Boulcott Suites for a 2 night stay on a room only basis. Evening at leisure.
 

DAY 11: WEDNESDAY 28th MARCH 2018 – WELLINGTON

Day at leisure to explore Wellington
 

DAY 12: THURSDAY 29th MARCH 2018 – WELLINGTON to CHRISTCHURCH

This morning, check out of your hotel and transfer to Wellington Airport for your flight to Christchurch. Upon arrival into you will be transferred to the Southwark Apartments for a 6 night stay on a room only basis. Evening at leisure.
 

DAY 13 – 17: FRIDAY 30th MARCH – TUESDAY 03rd APRIL 2018 – 2nd TEST MATCH, CHRISTCHURCH

2ND TEST MATCH – NEW ZEALAND V ENGLAND
Make your own way to the Hagley Oval for the 2nd Test Match. At close of play make your own way back to your chosen accommodation.
 

DAY 18: WEDNESDAY 04th APRIL 2018: CHRISTCHURCH/LONDON

After checking out of your hotel you will be transferred to Christchurch Airport for your return flight to the UK.

DAY 19: THURSDAY 05th APRIL 2018: LONDON

Arrive back in the UK. Complete passport control, collect your luggage and continue with your onward travel.

AUCKLAND HOTEL

Quest Ponsonby Serviced Apartments, Auckland (7 nights)

Quest Ponsonby is located along the Ponsonby Road, an 18-minute walk from Central Auckland and a 25-minute drive from Auckland International Airport. It offers guest rooms with satellite television and a private bathroom. Rooms offer both air conditioning and heating facilities. Each has a work desk, ironing equipment and a fridge. The en suite bathroom comes with toiletries and a hairdryer. Ponsonby Quest is within a 6-minute drive of the Auckland Casino and the Auckland Ferry Terminal. The Sky Tower is a 25-minute walk from the hotel.

WELLINGTON HOTEL

Boulcott Suites, Wellington (2 nights)

Centrally located off Boulcott Street this luxury 5-star apartment hotel features stylish single level suites and fully equipped executive townhouses. Guests enjoy free WiFi. Boulcott Suites Wellington are 10 minutes’ walk from the famous Te Papa Museum and Lambton Harbour. It is 15 minutes’ walk from Wellington Train Station. Wellington International Airport is a 20-minute drive away. Secure covered onsite parking is available for an additional charge. Every apartment has a kitchen with a dishwasher, laundry facilities and a dining area. Each lounge area offers a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The property can arrange dry cleaning and babysitting services. A safe and luggage storage facilities are available at the front desk.

CHRISTCHURCH HOTEL

Southwark Apartments, Christchurch (6 nights)

Located in central Christchurch, Southwark Apartments offer modern studios with a kitchenette and a guest lounge with flat-screen satellite TV. Guests enjoy 3GB of free internet access per stay. All studios have an en suite bathroom with free toiletries. All accommodation features access to a communal kitchen with gas appliances. Laundry facilities are also available. There is a 24-hour reception. The on-site cafe Unknown Chapter serves food and drink, with both dine-in and room service options available. Access to IronHood Fitness Centre is also available for an additional surcharge. Featuring modern facilities, the fitness centre is open 24 hours’ a day and is located only 100 m walk from the hotel. Southwark is a 5-minute walk from Hagley Park and RE:Start Mall on Cashel Street. Christchurch International Airport is a 20-minute drive away.

I would like to thank Mike and Patrick for a trouble free visit to the West Indies all the arrangements went to plan. Apart from trying to convince the seating manager that the seats at the Sir Vivian Richards stadium in Antigua did not exist. This was not an inconvenience more a funny diversion(the seats are on the plan they must exist). But no not your fault and thank you very much I can recommend you firm to anyone and by the way already have. Hope Mike and Patrick get home save as we did.

Traveled to SA for Cricket, very well organised, everything as we expected, from initial contact until our host seeing us off to the airport at the end of the tour. Brett our host was excellent in organisation, dealing with issues a genuine great guy! will be using LWL again!

Just a note to say what a superb tour Brett Lingley hosted for Living With The Lions in Durban and Cape Town. An absolute pleasure and, by chance, two great Test matches which will rank among the all-time classics. Durban’s Hilton Hotel was fabulous, Cape Town’s City Lodge served its purpose… transport and internal flights excellent thanks to LWTL! Evening meals in Durban (Moyo in Ushaka, Butcher Boys in Florida Road) and Cape Town (Quay Four on the Waterfront) were excellent, showing great local knowledge. So too the Christmas lunch in Ballito and New Year do at the Five Flies in Cape Town were brilliant too. Please pass on my compliments and make sure everyone at Living With The Lions gives themselves a pat on the back. I’ll be back for the Ashes.”
